Life Without Christ

Unknown to them and unseen by them, the lives and ends of unbelievers are scary things. These things should be recognized by believers. Unbelievers cannot see the good things in the Kingdom of God. Many of them cannot even see the good things outside the Kingdom and cannot even recognize truth. The Bible describes them and their lives in many frightful ways. Knowing how desperate unbelievers are should remind us of our own condition before we received Christ. We should be grateful for everything God has saved us from. When we encounter a person that is physically blind, we do not get angry with them, we want to help them. Neither should we get angry with unbelievers. We should pray for them, love them, witness to them and if possible share the gospel with them.

John 3:3b: . . . Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jeremiah 17:5-6a: Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, . . .

Psalms 146:9b: . . . the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

Isaiah 5:20: Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Psalms 16:4a: Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: . . .

Proverbs 13:15b: . . . the way of transgressors is hard.

John 3:36b: . . . he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Psalms 7:11b: . . . God is angry with the wicked every day.

Hebrews 10:31: It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Psalms 73:3-5, 16-19: But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. 3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. 5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. . . . 16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; 17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. 18 Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction. 19 How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
